New Exhibition Celebrates Ulster Victoria Cross Winners of the Great War

In commemoration of the indomitable courage and sacrifice displayed by the Victoria Cross recipients during World War I, the Ulster-Scots Agency and The Somme Association recently launched the inspiring exhibition, "Ulster’s V.C. Heroes of the Great War."    

"We are honoured to present 'Ulster’s V.C. Heroes,' a tribute to the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of the Victoria Cross winners of World War I from Ulster," said Ian Crozier, CEO of the Ulster-Scots Agency. "This exhibition serves as a poignant reminder of the debt of gratitude we owe to these courageous individuals who exemplified the highest ideals of courage, honour, and sacrificeWe are delighted that the exhibition will be situated in such a poignant and fitting surround as the prestigious Somme Museum."  

Carol Walker, Director of the Somme Association said “This exhibition commemorates 19 V.C. winners across all of UlsterWe are so pleased to host the exhibition and are delighted to work with the Agency to bring their stories to the public.” 

"Ulster’s V.C. Heroes" is open to the public at the Somme Museum.
